Brand new BBS RT88 wheels for the Porsche 992 GT3 in 20 inch and 21 inch, built with genuine BBS rim halves and hardware. This motorsport-inspired wheel takes its design from the BBS E88, and the RT88 is essentially a road-safe E88. It is a two-piece, fully forged aluminum wheel. The BBS RT88 faces are forged and produced by BBS Germany, and the barrels come from the BBS LM wheel program in Japan. These will clear carbon ceramic brakes.
What Makes the BBS RT88 Different
The RT88 takes the face of the BBS E88, a three-piece forged race wheel, and pairs it with a forged barrel from the BBS LM program. LM stands for Le Mans. BBS named the wheel after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which BBS-equipped Porsche Group C cars won in the 1980s. From the curb, the RT88 looks like an E88, but it carries full road approval for daily driving.
BBS Motorsport History Behind the RT88
BBS was founded in 1970 in Schiltach, Germany. The name comes from founders Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand plus the town of Schiltach. The company has supplied racing wheels since 1972, including for Formula One, Le Mans and DTM. That racing work produced the LM in 1994 and the E88 race wheel that so many BMW and Porsche owners chase today.
